The last month in review!

Andrew drove up to Ontario, Or. from Provo with his friend Cliff to see Ned play. It's 1/2 way for both of us. Ned was sick that day but played and then spent 5 hours in the john on the 5 hour bus trip back to Yakima. Poor kid! Thank you Andrew for coming up! It was a short trip but worth every minute!
Mother's Day brought me these wonderful chocolate covered strawberries from Tommy and Rachel. Funny thing is the wrong card came with them. They were for Edna Evans from Tacoma. She probably got my card! Notice there is one gone. I couldn't resist before I took the picture. I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Thank you for your cards and calls and wonderful gifts everyone!!! I love you all very much!!!!! Seth graduated form U. of Idaho. Peter and Addie were able to go with us. It was a fun day and we are very proud of Seth. On to grad school!

Those of us who were able to be there celebrated Ella's (#3) and Erin's birthday at Red Robin
Parker Field in Yakima. Very artsy picture! Last home game.
So since the end of February Daddy and I have mad approximately 24 trips to watch Ned play baseball and 2 trips over to Moscow for Seth's graduation from the U. of Idaho and Ivan's blessing. That's 52 times over and back over the infamous Snoqualmie Pass! Once you get over the pass the rest of the trip is a piece of cake. But never knowing what the weather is going to be like is awful! This last trip to Pasco yesterday was great thou. It was a beautiful day when we went to watch Ned play his last game for Yakima. ( The scenery is beautiful too going east). The game wasn't so great but being able to support him and cheer him on at every game was worth every trip we made. Thank you Ned!!!!

Catching up!

So two weeks ago our oldest grandchild, Mackenzie, was baptized. Oh goodness, already? The years are going by too, too quickly. It was a wonderful day and we were grateful to be there. She is a dear, sweet girl and we are very happy for her. We missed those of you who weren't able to make it. Next baptism, Aidan, in June. Here are some pictures. Also Mackenzie and Sydney's bouncy birthday. We were at the bouncy house. Everybody's favorite place!

Ned

These are pictures of Ned at school! As you can see, he's studying really hard! How many baseball players does it take to chalk home plate?
His tower of pop cans!

Great Weekend

This weekend we went over to Moscow to bless Ivan Seth Jones! He is a beautiful addition to our family and we are so blessed to have him. He looks just like Weston and Koper when they were babies. And his hair is wonderful! So soft and beautiful. It was like wheat blowing in the wind. Thank you Seth and Lacey for a very nice day! Seth gave his son a beautiful blessing. (I know I have used the words beautiful and wonderful alot) Martha and Kent put on a really good luncheon for all of us! Thank you! We missed you Sam , Kate, Clark, Meredith, Andrew and Ned.
Ivan with his cousins Michaela and Mackenzie!
So, Stephanie comes over to us all and tells us that she has caught Aidan sneaking food off the table to take on the trip home. It turns out it's mushrooms he is taking. How many children do you know eat mushrooms let alone sneaking them. I love it and we all laughed! i had to get a picture.

Here we all are. All the kids are looking at the camera and with normal expressions! Yahoo!!!!

Newest Projects

So, last week was my birthday and I had a very nice day! I received some very funny cards and these lovely roses from my sweetie. And everyone called! Thank you everyone!
Our biggest news is that Seth and Lacey had their third son on the 13th. His name is Ivan Seth. That's number 15 for Dale and me. That's 8 grandsons and 7 granddaughters. We are blessed beyond measure.

In the last week and a half I have completed these 4 projects. Another rag quilt. This is for Ivan. I personally love the color combination. If anybody is afraid of making rag quilts these are so easy to do and go fast. You can do it!

This is my new tote. I have been looking for a purse because I ruined my last one. I found this pattern on www.modabakeshop.com and just loved it so here is my result. I found the fabric at Pacific Fabrics. It's moda fabric. I love it. But if you decide to make one use 2 layers of warm and natural. It will make it a little stiffer.
I've been making dresses for the girls (sorry boys). This one is Addison's. More to come!

I got this idea from Stephanie. It's just a piece of fabric (warm and natural in the middle) attached with velcro. It's great for all those loose sewing pins. I love it and it was so easy to do.
So there you have it. Now on to baby blankets for friends grandchildren and more dresses.
Have a good week!
Love!

A work in progress!

Ok, so I just looked at my post and it never comes out the way the preview shows it, so I WILL learn how to do it all right along the way! Please be patient with me. Have a good rest of the week! Love! Happy valentine's Day to everyone. Love you all dearly!

Super Bowl Sunday

Well, most of the guys watched the game!

Ethan at 4 years old!

Rachel at 23 and feeling much better!

Dog before he was eaten! Dog after! Poor little puppy!
Dressing up with your cousin is so much fun!

So, this was a big weekend! Peter and Stephanie had us all over to watch the big game. We had a great time. Lots of food and lots of football. Well, lots of football for the guys. The kids had a great time playing and we girls played games. I'm thankful that my daughters-in-law are patient with me when it comes to playing the games. They are much better than I.
We celebrated Addison's birthday. She turned 4 on the 8th. Ethan turned 4 on January 26th. Everybody is growing up too fast.

I'm still on my sewing quest. I have finished 2 more dresses for the girls and will start another rag quilt tomorrow (pictures on next post) after I get back from my water walking class. Yes, I started a water walking class at the Issaquah pool. But, their idea of walking and my idea of walking are not the same. This is an all out aerobics class with a little walking. But I'm not as sore as I thought I'd be. Thank goodness.
